Hey you! Here are the DIY projects that I have done for my office space. They are super fun and so affordable!
Everything I’ve used/mentioned:
1. Wine bottles
– wine bottles (remove the labels on the wine bottles by putting them in a mixture of hot water, some bicarbonate of soda/baking soda and table vinegar
– spray paint: I bought mine at Naivas supermarket for about 350/=, you can also get spray paint at Carrefour and Text book center
– Masking tape
– For the bottle with glue decor from a glue gun, you can get a glue gun and glue sticks at Carrefour (not sure about the price though!)
2. Snowflake sticks (lol, don’t know what else to call them)
– Broom/Kifagio/Kihato (don’t know if it has an actual name)
– Grater
– Office glue; you can get this at any supermarket in the stationary secttion, it’s very affordable- this big one I have is about 100/=
– Styrofoam; you can get this from your new appliances, or if you don’t have this, you can ask a supermarket to give you some (they always have a lot of it)
3. Coffee tin
– Nescafe coffee tin (or any other beautifully shaped tin you have/like)
– Masking tape
– Spray paint
– Candle (if you want)
4. L.O.V.E wall hangings
Here is the original video i followed:
– A frame (not sure where you can get one) or you can make one by nailing together some pieces of wood that you can get cut for you at a timber yard
– White cloth/ your preferred colour; got mine on Biashara street and 70/= a meter)
– Thumb tacks to stretch the cloth over the frame; got mine at Text book center
– Masking tape
– Drawings/letters/shapes you want to trace onto your canvas
– Spray paint
